Salmon Restoration Association Announces Leadership Changes and Honors Dedicated Volunteers at Annual Meeting
Fort Bragg, CA—The Salmon Restoration Association (SRA) held its annual meeting, during which key leadership appointments were made, dedicated volunteers were honored, and plans for the upcoming year were set in motion.
The SRA Board welcomed its newest member, Andrea Hadik, who joins in support of the organization’s mission to restore and sustain healthy salmon runs on the Pacific Coast. The Board also honored the dedicated service of retiring Board member Larry Silveria, who has contributed over 25 years of volunteering and leadership to the SRA. Additionally, Cindy Silveria was recognized for her outstanding contributions as the longtime keeper of the Recipe, a role she has faithfully held for more than 28 years. In this role, she ensured the success of the organization’s signature fundraising event, the World’s Largest Salmon BBQ.
The Board appointed Jamie Bowles as the new President of the SRA, entrusting him with leading the organization’s efforts in the coming years. A significant highlight of the meeting was the approval of the official date for the next “World’s Largest Salmon BBQ,” a cherished annual tradition that supports salmon restoration initiatives. The event will take place on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from Noon to 6:00 PM, promising a day of delicious food, community engagement, and support for salmon conservation.
The SRA remains committed to restoring and enhancing wild salmon populations through habitat restoration, conservation efforts, and community-driven initiatives.
